Abuse robs children of their innocence. Abuse robs children’s ability to trust people and society.
Children and adults who have survived abuse, when they share their stories, it is very difficult for us to listen. Why?
Because as they vividly recall their trauma, we feel the pain and disgust. Then imagine, what they must have gone through.
As a society, we need to do whatever it takes for a child to beautifully grown to an adult and for an adult to rightfully live their life.
